Detroit High School Sports Award 2024 Basketball
Congratulations to Mercy Varsity Basketball's Aizlyn Albanese '25 on being nominated for Girls Basketball Player of the Year award at the Detroit High School Sports Awards! Aizlyn joins two other previously announced Mercy athletes, Amylia Higgins ‘24 (Swimming & Diving) and Campbell Flynn ‘25 (Volleyball) as nominees for Athlete of the Year in their respective sports. The award show takes place on June 18 at the Fillmore Detroit.

National Latin Exam 2024 Accolades
Mercy students took the annual National Latin Exam with over 107,000 students from all 50 states and 26 foreign countries. We are pleased to announce awards for the following 16 Mercy students, who received national recognition for their outstanding performance in this academic competition. Copley Latin Day 2024 at University of Michigan
On April 10, nearly 50 Mercy Latin students attended the tenth annual Copley Latin Day at the University of Michigan. Students attended a college lecture on "Ancient Skies, Stellar Stories, Heavenly Mathematics" from Prof. Francesca Schironi, and they also analyzed ancient Roman papyrus in UM's Papyrology Lab, which is the largest papyrus collection in North America.
