Farewell Mrs. Mary Kate Becker

Farewell Mrs. Mary Kate Becker

We are blessed at Mercy HS to have an entire staff who believe in the strengths of a Mercy education, and work diligently to make that education a reality for our students. We have the traditional saying, “Once a Mercy girl - (audience feedback). Sometimes those we love within our school aren’t traditional Mercy girls, yet are forever a part of Mercy. Occasionally God’s plan guides our staff to share their gifts and talents outside of our doors, leaving us grateful that these team members have so positively touched our lives.

Exploring other paths that God has laid before her is Mrs. Mary Kate Becker. As you may know, Mrs. Becker is assuming the position as Associate Director for Mission Integration with Mercy Education. We are deeply grateful for the incredible impact Mrs. Becker has had on our Mercy community. With a distinct passion for empowering young women as leaders of faith, she has enhanced the spiritual life of our school. Under her guidance, student ministerial leaders have grown into powerful witnesses of faith, planning meaningful liturgies and retreat experiences for their peers. Through intentional involvement in the Mass, retreats and other prayerful experiences, she has helped students and staff throughout the school connect more deeply with their faith. Her leadership has ensured that Catholic values are woven into every aspect of student life, from academics to athletics, service, and social activities. Most of all, we celebrate the spirit she brings to every interaction—one of compassion, inclusivity, and unwavering faith. We send her forth with our deepest gratitude and abundant blessings.

We wish you the best of luck, Mrs Becker and are very grateful that you will continue to be a part of Mercy Education.
