2022-23 Giving Press Proof

Published on 06/01/2023

Dear Friends of Mercy,

THANK YOU for making a difference for Mercy students and our greater community! Whether the gift supports an immediate need or benefits the long-term sustainability of our school, your investment strengthens our mission and the educational experience for our young Mercy women.

We still need your support this fiscal year! Help us make our Annual Fund goal of $261,800 by June 30 by making a donation today. All donations to Mercy truly matter, and we are grateful for your support.

We are proud to share these fundraising highlights from 2022-2023:
  • Many faithful donors joined the newly created Sister Regina Marie Doelker '56 Society, gifts of $25,000 and above, and Sister Mary Victorine Society, gifts of $15,000-$24,999, through their contributions to the Annual Fund.
  • The Golf Outing, held at Walnut Creek Country Club on August 29, raised a record breaking $45,000. Registration is now open for next year’s outing on September 11, 2023 at Dearborn Golf Club!
  • The Mercy Family Fundraiser, Maroon & Gold Raffle held in October, surpassed our goal and raised over $175,000.
  • The Mercy High School 44th Annual Auction: Light the Way was a huge success, raising an incredible $360,000 on March 25! Groundbreaking will begin this June for the 2023 Principal's Pick Campus Beautification Project.
  • Tea for Tuition, hosted by the Alumnae Association on Sunday, April 30, raised $33,600 for Tuition Assistance to pay the Mercy education forward and continue the legacy of educating Women Who Make a Difference. We still need Tuition Assistance support for the 2023-2024 school year, be an AbsenTea Donor and make a gift here today.
  • Mercy is proud to be the first high school in Michigan given the rights from Disney to perform FROZEN, The Broadway Musical, in March 2024. We have raised $37,500 thus far, and ask you to support the Performing Art Fundraiser for new lighting and an Epson High Brightness 20,000 Lumens Projector.
  • We recognize and thank the donors who bequeathed a charitable gift to Mercy in their wills through the William and Catherine Callaghan Legacy Society.
  • Faithful contributions to our other Special Fundraising Projects.

We invite you to review the Press Proof here that represents donors who have given between July 1, 2022 through May 4, 2023. These lists will be printed in fall MOSAIC Magazine’s 2022-2023 Annual Report. To make a correction, please email advancement@mhsmi.org or call 248-893-3538.

It is not too late for your name to appear in our Annual Report! You can help future generations of compassionate women leaders by giving to Mercy today. Please make your gift by June 30 to be recognized in the fall Annual Report in our MOSAIC Magazine. Visit mhsmi.org/donate, call 248-893-3538, or mail your check to the Mercy High School Advancement Office.
