Class of 2027 Senior Sunrise & Blessing of Medallions

The Class of 2027 welcomed the start of senior year with a beautiful morning of faith, friendship and Mercy tradition. Seniors and their families gathered at the Our Lady of Peace flagpole entrance for breakfast, photos and time together before our seniors processed into the Auditorium for a special prayer service and blessing of medallions.
Senior leaders guided their classmates in prayer and reflection, Sr. Maria Klozowski, RSM shared a poignant reflection inspired by The Venerable Catherine McAuley, and Mercy Associates Alison Kline-Kator '97, Kathryn Ling '69, Nadine Maynard '63, Colleen McMaster '81, Julie Tenbusch '57, and Mary Wallace '75 presented each senior with her Mercy medallion. As the sun rises today on the Class of 2027, we pause to give You thanks for the gift of this new morning and for bringing us to the start of our senior year.
We ask for Your blessing upon these students as they step into their roles as leaders of our school. Fill their hearts with the spirit of Catherine McAuley, grounded in compassion, hospitality, and service to others.
Grant us wisdom to navigate the choices and challenges of the year ahead with integrity and grace.
Grant us joy to cherish the daily moments, big and small, that will define their final chapter here.
Grant us courage to live out the Mercy tradition—standing up for justice, lifting up one another, and bringing Your light to everyone they meet.
Bless the friendships represented in this morning light. May the Class of 2027 remain united in love and support, walking together with purpose as we prepare to make our mark on the world. Amen.
