Phantom of the Opera Theatrical Experience

On February 12, 2026, French students had the wonderful opportunity to attend The Phantom of the Opera at the Detroit Opera House. This much-anticipated event had been eagerly awaited since December, and it did not disappoint.

Beyond being an unforgettable theatrical experience, the evening served as a rich cultural lesson. Seeing a production set in Paris—while admiring both the interior and exterior inspired by the legendary Palais Garnier—brought French culture vividly to life. Even more exciting, students will have the opportunity to visit the actual opera house during their upcoming trip to France in 2027, making this experience especially meaningful and memorable.

It was truly a magical night, particularly for students and their families who were seeing the show for the first time. Experiences like this reflect our commitment to providing French students with authentic cultural opportunities whenever French arts and events come to the Detroit area.
