A Grand 80 Years of Mercy Celebration Evening
On October 18th, our Mercy community came together to celebrate 80 incredible years of faith, learning, and sisterhood! With Archbishop Edward J. Weisenburger and the Sisters of Mercy joining us, the day was filled with joy, reflection, and gratitude.
The Archbishop led us in a beautiful liturgy that united generations of the Mercy family and warmly greeted guests throughout the celebration. Visitors enjoyed campus tours guided by engaging current students, whose enthusiasm and insight made the experience especially meaningful. Following Mass, Dr. Cheryl Kreger ’66 delivered a moving Legacy of Mercy address, reflecting on the enduring power of Mercy and the values that continue to shape generations.
Guests were treated to a moving performance of Ave Maria by current and former Mercyaires, followed by a festive dinner, music and dancing, and plenty of photos, laughter, and hugs shared among alumnae, students, faculty (past and present), parents, donors, and friends.
It was a meaningful reminder of what makes Mercy so special: our faith-filled connection, compassionate community, and 80 years of excellence. Thank you to everyone who helped make this milestone celebration truly unforgettable!
