2025 Copley Latin Day at University of Michigan
Mercy Latin students attended the 11th annual Copley Latin Day at the University of Michigan, where they explored the theme Classics and the Arts. The day included a visit to the Kelsey Museum of Archaeology, hands-on learning with college professors and doctoral students, and discussions on the lasting value of Latin. Students also explored AI applications in archaeology, uncovering how modern technology enhances our understanding of the ancient world. From history to innovation, the experience highlighted Latin’s continued relevance in education and beyond.
In addition to these enriching sessions, students competed in poetry, visual arts, and oratory contests, demonstrating their knowledge of Latin, mythology, and classical history. Their hard work and dedication paid off, as they took home numerous awards, showcasing their passion and expertise in the classics.
