2026 Track & Field State Qualifiers

Congrats to Mercy Track & Field Team on its third-place finish at MHSAA Regionals, just two points shy of second place. Let's hear it for the following athletes who qualified for the MHSAA State Championships!

• 1st-place 4x800 relay team: Ainslie Carter ’28, Libby Gerzema ’28, Nora Gerzema ’26, and Clare Hafner ’26

• Maggie Kandt ’29 finished first in shot put and also qualified for discus.

• JJ Lukas ’29 and Emily Cuthbertson ’26 qualified for high jump, finishing 2nd and 3rd respectively.

• JJ Lukas ’29 also qualified for the 300M hurdles with a 1st-place finish.

• Nora Gerzema ’26 and Libby Gerzema ’28 qualified in the 800M, finishing 1st and 2nd.
