MERCY DAY MASS & MISSIONING OF PRESIDENT CARVER
![]() |
Mercy parents/guardians are warmly invited to join us as we celebrate our annual Mercy Day Mass, featuring the special Missioning of President Julie Carver on Wednesday, September 24 at 10:15am in the Auditorium.
Every year on September 24th, the global Mercy family—sisters, associates, companions, donors, staff, students, and more—comes together to celebrate Mercy Day, marking the 1827 opening of the first House of Mercy on Baggot Street in Dublin, Ireland. This year’s Mercy Day theme, Rooted in Mercy, calls us to reflect on the roots that ground us: the faith traditions and values that shape us, the women whose leadership and witness inspire us, and the ways each of us is called to help Mercy continue to grow.
As part of this special celebration, we will formally mission President Carver in her leadership of Mercy High School, surrounded by our students, staff and Mercy community. We hope you will join us for this meaningful celebration of faith, leadership and our shared Mercy tradition.
