Summer College Essay Camp for the Class of 2027

August 4-6, 2026

10am-2pm

Does your Mercy rising Class of 2027 Senior need help organizing her college essay-writing process? Enroll her in our summer camp, where students will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with Mrs. Herold and Mrs. Step from our English Department. Each student will receive customized support at a fraction of the price of a private tutor.

Participants may attend any single day, or all three days:

Days 1 & 2 (Tuesday and Wednesday) will focus on Common App essay

Day 3 (Thursday) will focus on supplemental essays for individual colleges

Cost: $150 per day or $400 for all three days. Our goal is for your senior’s essay(s) to be application-ready before school begins, thereby reducing stress from the already-packed school year.

In order to secure your spot, use this link to pay a minimum deposit of $150. If you’d like to sign up for more than one day and pay the total amount, you can do so right away. Otherwise, payment for multiple days will be due when camp begins in August.

This is a wonderful opportunity for your daughter to work with professionals in a familiar setting. Mrs. Herold has years of experience tutoring students on the ins and outs of college essays, and Mrs. Step is a skilled writing teacher.

Participants are encouraged to bring lunch. Reserve your spot today! Please send any questions to Mrs. Lucia Step lstep@mhsmi.org.
