Class of 2023 Parking Spot Painting Fundraiser

Published on 08/10/2022

CLASS OF 2023 PARKING SPOT PAINTING

Parking Spot Fundraiser

August 13 - August 20, 2022

Prior to painting, please make sure you have done the following:

  • Submitted and obtained approval for your design

  • Submitted your waiver to the senior moderator's email

On August 13, please arrive earlier during the painting time (10 a.m.-12 p.m.) to allow your base coat to have time to dry and give you the opportunity to possibly start your design.

Please remember the following requirements:

  • The yellow parking lines must not be painted over leaving four inches on either side of the yellow lines so that the parking spot is well-defined. These guides will be marked off by your officers prior to the painting day.

  • If there are paint spills, the individual will be responsible for cleaning them up.

  • Moving forward, there will be no leftover paint stored on campus.

  • Any leftover paint will need to be taken home to be disposed of properly.

  • Drop cloths, canvas or plastic tarps, and/or cardboard can be used to mix paint near the parking spot.

  • You will not be allowed to enter the building to use the bathrooms, wash up, etc. Please plan accordingly.

  • We will provide rollers for the base coats and paint brushes, but please bring extra painting supplies and wear clothes you are comfortable with getting dirty.

  • Remember, you can only use Exterior Latex Paint on your parking spot.

  • We will have some brooms and longer handles to help paint, but it might help if you bring your own brooms or blowers to clean debris off your spots.

Additionally, for payment, please bring either a check (addressed to Mercy High School), exact change, or pay online to Ms. Harris who will be centered between the two parking lots. The cost is $80.

To pay online, please visit the donation page on Mercy’s webpage and select the other option where you will enter the cost of the spot ($80). Then under the designation, you will choose Parking Lot.

To find your parking lot spots, please see the list of assigned spots and the attached map of where the spots are located.
