Dear Mercy Family,

 

The ongoing pandemic presents our educators and students with many unique and trying challenges. These unwavering efforts and commitment to academic excellence and faith formation are gratefully acknowledged by the Department of Catholic schools, with the support of Archbishop Vigneron and the Catholic Schools Council.

 

In appreciation, all schools within the Archdiocese of Detroit have been granted two additional days off from the 2021-2022 school year calendar for rest and rejuvenation. Mercy High School will use these gifted days to extend our Christmas holiday break. Staff will return to work on Wednesday, January 5, 2022. Classes will resume for students on Thursday, January 6, 2022. 

 

We thank Archbishop Vigneron and our Mercy families for their support, and hope this extension also allows our staff and families to enjoy more time for joyous celebration and rejuvenation.
