Junior Retreat for Class of 2022

Published on 03/12/2021

JUNIOR RETREAT
Wednesday, March 17, 2021
10:15am-12:30pm

Dear Junior Parent/Guardian,

At Mercy, we are very proud to offer our students a four-year retreat program. Each year, your daughter has an opportunity to attend a retreat sponsored by the Mercy Campus Ministry Office. As Freshwomen, the retreat focused on the gifts that each human person is blessed with and how they can begin to recognize those gifts and share them with others. At the Sophomore Retreat, the focus was on service and justice and how the student can use her gifts and talents that she started to recognize as a freshwoman, to better serve her family and the community around her.

The theme of the Junior Retreat is Seeing with the Eyes of Faith & Seeing God in All Things, and it is the third step of the four-year retreat program at Mercy. It is an important step in our retreat process which culminates senior year where the young women have the opportunity to participate in the KAIROS retreat. At KAIROS, we look at recognizing God in the people, places and things in their lives and most importantly seeing God within themselves.

This year, Junior Retreat will be abbreviated and held Wednesday, March 17 from 10:15am - 12:30pm. It is mandatory and will be held at school. Your daughter was emailed specific directions for the day; including all COVID-19 health and safety protocols, casual attire and make-up assignment for those who are absent. No food will be served, but please make sure your daughter brings a water bottle.

We will start with prayer and continue with a fabulous guest speaker, Mary Wilkerson, in the Mercy Auditorium. During these COVID-19 times, we have had to rearrange our program as we have with so many other things, but we know your daughter will love Mary and her message.

The GOAL students will be sent a link to watch from home or they are welcome to attend in person and be with their class for the two-hour time block.

We hope your daughter will enjoy this opportunity to spend time away from her busy schedule enriching her relationship with God. We look forward to this special time together. If you have questions, please feel free to contact us by phone or e-mail.

Yours in Mercy,
