Schools can earn this recognition annually based on criteria that reflect a commitment to increasing college-going culture, providing opportunities for students to earn college credit, and maximizing college readiness.
Our own Catherine McAuley, founder of the Sisters of Mercy, is on a journey to canonization - the process of being named a saint of the Catholic Church! Catherine McAuley was declared Venerable on April 9, 1990 by Pope John Paul II due to her life of heroic virtue and service to the poor, sick, and uneducated.
