MERCY BASKETBALL SUMMER 2023 THANK YOU
Just a final thank you to all for making a great commitment to our voluntary summer basketball program. Parents, thank you for driving your daughter to practices, games, Grand Valley and Gaylord, and for watching our teams play games. Players, thank you for attending so many practices and games and working very hard. We had excellent participation throughout the summer, and our teams did very well. Hope you had fun and made some new friends. Coaches, thank you for being so devoted to our players and being so giving with your time.
The first practice (tryout) date for the 2023-2024 season is November 20. This is a late starting date, as girls basketball usually begins a week before boys basketball, but the start dates are flipped this year.
Below is our (tentative) 2023-2024 Game Schedule. Games in bold are CHSL Central Division games. As you can see from the schedule, there will be games (and practices) over Christmas break.The V schedule is pretty much complete, but we will add more JV and F games. There will likely be a JV/F league tournament sometime between February 8-16.
Please check our basketball webpage on the Mercy website (go to mhsmi.org-athletics-team webpages-basketball) for more updates and information before the start of the season. There will be some open gyms, 4-player workouts and conditioning in September, October and early November.
