Dear Mercy Family,
We are grateful to each of you for valuing the educational opportunities and programs that Mercy offers. We realize that many families struggle financially, and still choose Mercy as the best investment for their daughters’ futures.
Our Administration, Finance Committee, and Board of Trustees have once again carefully analyzed the financials for the first six months of this school year to establish a realistic budget and set tuition for the 2015-2016 school year.
We have worked extremely hard to keep costs in line. All areas of the school’s operation have been scrutinized and rigorous efforts have been implemented to cut spending. Even so, we find it necessary to raise tuition $395 which sets the 2015-2016 school year tuition at $11,700. The registration fee is $100 and the activity fee will be $250.
Please remember, that while the tuition for the 2015-2016 school year is $11,700, the difference between the actual cost per student and the tuition is approximately $2,000. Since we receive no funding from the state or the archdiocese, we must depend on you to assist in making up this difference by participating in the necessary fundraising activities, contributing your services, and being Mercy ambassadors to those considering Mercy High School. We, in turn, will continue to work diligently to keep costs down without compromising excellence.
Setting tuition now will enable you to complete the registration process by April 15, thus allowing us to plan staffing for the 2015-2016 school year. It is of extreme importance that your daughter(s) be registered according to the time frame provided so that we can plan the best possible program. Enrollment Agreements will be mailed in March 2015.
May the blessings of the Lord be upon you and your family. You are always in our prayers. Thank you for who you are and all you do for your daughter(s) and for Mercy. You will receive more detailed tuition information in the mail. Please know that financial aid is available by application.
Sincerely in Christ,
Dr. Cheryl Delaney Kreger ’66, President
Mrs. Carolyn Witte ’67, Principal
