From Coach Montijo:

Despite the rain, the Mercy Cross-country team ran exceptionally well on Saturday at the Legends Meet at Huron Meadows after a week of challenging workouts. The course was wet but quicker than expected. Huron Meadows is considered one of the faster courses in the area, but with the rain, the ground was harder and faster than normal.

From Coach Montijo:

The Mercy team raced in its second jamboree of the season at Patroit's Park in Riverview. With a combined race of 15 teams--both JV and Varsity--the teams ran on the flat course and many of the young ladies posted very good times and personal records today.

Overall, on today's flat course, the team was very successful including season and lifetime PRs by Madeline Kenney (1:06), Megan Mallie (0:48), Grace McBride (1:17), Erica D'Souza (0:21), Delilah Coe (0:20), and Paige Wiaduck (2:20). The team placed third overall with a strong showing.

From Coach Montijo:

Saturday, the Mercy XC team battled the heat, humidity, and hills to place second overall at the Catholic Central Invite at Cass Benton Park. The ladies did exceptionally well and overall, we had seven course PRs.

From Coach Montijo:

Overall, Tuesday's meet was another successful meet for the Mercy carriers. On a flat--and I mean flat--course, the ladies ran exceptionally well. We had five season PRs and two lifetime PRs. Reagan Sullivan keeps surprising us each and every meet with her improvement and her desire to do well. She has dropped over a minute in her time so far and based on workouts, will only continue to improve. More impressively, Paige Wiadeck and Erica D'Souze both took more than a minute off their best times in one race.

From Coach Montijo:

Today, the ladies had an interesting day and still ran very, very well. Overall, the carriers finished second out of four teams today against Marian, Regina, and St. Catherine at the Richardson Center.

From Coach Montijo:

Yesterday, the young ladies of cross-country ran at the Averill Invite at Kensington. It is a challenging course, but not as difficult as Cass Benton. The young ladies did very well and we are very proud of the accomplishments.

From the Coaches:

Last night, Mercy competed at the Early Bird Invitational at Huron Meadows. It was our second race at Huron Meadows of the season and the second one of this week after the ladies raced on Tuesday as well.

From the Coaches:
This afternoon, the young ladies on the cross-country team battled the heat and hills to represent Mercy extremely well. As we told the ladies, Cass Benton is the fifth hardest course in the state and typically adds a minute or two to times for a 5k. We are extremely proud of how they ran today.

From the Coaches:

We are so very proud of the ladies for their effort today! We finished 6th over all with seven personal records today including a life time PR of over a a minute!
