Meet our Athletic Training & Wellness Team! 

Hannah Wood Athletic Trainer hwoods@mhsmi.org 
Hannah received her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Athletic Training from Grand Valley State University. She is licensed as an athletic trainer in the State of Michigan and certified nationally through the Board of Certification, Inc.
Employed by Henry Ford Health System since 2017, Hannah is assigned to Mercy High School and assists in other event coverage as able. Hannah is involved with the Joint Preservation Program at Henry Ford and assists our primary care/sports medicine physicians and orthopaedic surgeons with patient care at the William Clay Ford Center for Athletic Medicine in Detroit and Henry Ford Medical Center - Columbus. Prior to joining Henry Ford, Hannah was a Henry Ford intern providing athletic training services to Cranbrook Kingswood Schools, Sports Concussion Clinic, and the Henry Ford Rehabilitation - Columbus Rehab & Athletic Medicine.
 
Patricia Kolowich, M.D. Team Physician
Dr. Kolowich graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School, where she also completed her residency training in orthopaedic surgery. She received her sports medicine training at The Orthopaedic Specialty Clinic, Salt Lake Knee & Sports Medicine in Utah. Working at Henry Ford Hospital for more than 20 years, seven of which she served as the Division Head of Sports Medicine, she is currently the Sports Medicine Fellowship Director. In addition to working with Mercy High School, Dr. Kolowich has worked with the Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Rockers, Detroit Ignition and Detroit Catholic Central Hockey Team. Dr. Kolowich currently sees patients at the William Clay Ford Center for Athletic Medicine in Detroit and Henry Ford Medical Center - Columbus (Novi).
 
Our goal is to keep you injury free, but if an injury occurs, our team will see you at one of our seven Sports Medicine locations, within 24 business hours. If you suffer from old sports injuries or lingering injuries, we will see you within 7-10 days. Additionally, our concussion clinic works with athletes to evaluate and treat concussions by developing individual plans for a safe return to play, including baseline testing.
