| Pastoral Ministry offers a four-year retreat program. We offer a different retreat for each grade level with the hope that after four years the students will have a better understanding of herself, her relationship with others, and most especially her relationship with God. The following is a brief summary of the retreats. |
|
Freshwomen Retreat:
The 9th grade retreat is held on a half-day in October while the sophomore and junior classes are testing. Apex ministry is brought to Mercy to present the gospel in a lively and realistic way. The freshwomen are encouraged to see the gifts and talents that God has given them and to think about how they are called to use those gifts. This retreat is mandatory.

 Sophomore Retreat:
The Sophomore Service Retreat helps the students explore different ways to live out the Mercy value of service. In the process she begins to realize her call to be the work of Gods hands. The students arrange and complete a service experience of their choice off campus and write a reflection paper on their experience. Second semester the class is divided in four groups. These groups meet together in the Mercy chapel to pray, reflect, discuss and process their service experience and are challenged to continue to meet God in those they serve. This retreat is mandatory.

Junior Retreat:
In their junior year, the young women have the option of attending an over-night retreat entitled, Seeing through eyes of Faith, Finding God in all things. The goal of this retreat is to get the students to take a deeper look internally and see how God is active in all areas of our lives and how we will choose to follow God. A variety of activities make up the retreat including small group discussions, journal writing, creative art expression, Mass, prayer and many other activities. About 50 students can attend the retreat at a time and the retreat is offered two-three times during the school year.

Senior Retreat:
The culmination of the retreat program at Mercy is the KAIROS retreat held at Colombiere Retreat Center, Clarkston, MI. Over three and a half days the students have the opportunity to establish a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer, personal reflection, small group discussion and the Sacraments (Reconciliation and Mass). The retreat is led primarily by a six-member student team who is formed in faith sharing and witness along with five staff members. The KAIROS retreat is offered three times during the school year.
