The Sisters of Mercy, Regional Community of Detroit, sponsors of Mercy High School, identify the following five Values as characterizing their ministries: Service, Justice, Mercy, Human Dignity, and Option for the Poor. These Values inspire and challenge all at Mercy High School in the daily living of our spirit.

The mission of the Pastoral Ministry Department is to strengthen the spirituality of the student body through the planning and promotion of service projects, Eucharistic Liturgies, retreats, prayers services, and special traditional Mercy celebrations.
