**  May President's Notes  **

WOW, can it be that May is already here! It seems like we just had our first Mothers Club meeting of the year and now we have jumped to May and our last meeting. Where did the year go??

Monday, May 3rd will be our last Mothers Club meeting for the 2009-2010 school year. As always we will start with our social time at 6:30 and our meeting will begin at 7. At this meeting we will also have the new Executive Board officially take over for the 2010-2011 school year. Please join us in a show of support as Yasmin Syed takes over as President of the Mothers Club and help us to welcome the rest of the new Executive Board.

Let me also take this time to thank all of the moms who have made this a truly outstanding year. Thank you to this year's Executive Board: Yasmin Syed, Julie Panetta, and Pam Hawkins for all of their support and dedication. It was such a pleasure to have such outstanding, hardworking and committed ladies on the board with me. Also, a special thank you to Jule Kijek for her help during the summer and for her fabulous photography skills.  Thank you to Julie Earle for all of her hard work in keeping the Mothers Club website up-to-date and always being so helpful whenever I asked for anything. Thank you to Colleen Rozman for her help in communicating with all of the moms. Thank you to Mrs. Witte for her commitment and support of the Mothers Club. She is a great champion of the Mothers Club and her guidance has been invaluable. And thank you to Sister Regina for being such a positive force and helping hand to me and to the Mothers Club.

I would also like to extend an enormous thank you to all the committee chairs who helped make the Mothers Club events the success they were. Were it not for your commitment of time and talents we could never have accomplished all that we did this past year. Thank you to:

Thank you also to the many volunteers who worked so hard on all the committees. We had so many wonderful volunteers that I would be writing this column for hours if I tried to list all of your names. So to all of you...thank you! Thank you also to Doug Doyle and the entire Dads Club for their help, support and collaboration with the Mothers Club. Finally, if I have forgotten to thank anyone please forgive me. I have tried my best to remember everyone who has been so giving of their time this past year. If I forgot to thank you please know that it is a mistake on my part and that all of your help really is appreciated!

So as I finish my final President's notes, let me again thank all of you for your help, support and prayers. It has been a privilege working for you and with you. I am so blessed to have been able to meet and work with the truly wonderful people that are a part of the Mercy family. God's amazing grace must surely be present in our school.

To all the moms of graduating seniors, may God give you serenity and patience throughout these last few weeks of school.  And, in the fall, may God give you the strength and faith you need to send your daughters off on their next adventure.

To all the returning moms, we look forward to seeing you in the fall at our first Mothers Club meeting on Monday, September 13th. Also, please remember to fill out the Mothers Club Volunteer Activity form located on our website. (The 2010-2011 form should be online shortly.)The online form is a great way to let us know what committees you would like to be involved with next year. It is also the best way to let us know if you are interested in working on Spare Uniform, Used Book and New Mom Dinner. These events take place in the beginning of the school year and the paper forms might not be received by our Volunteer Coordinator in time to include your name on the committee lists. (The paper form will be sent out by the school sometime in August.)

So once again, I extend my heartfelt thanks to all the members of the Mothers Club. It truly has been a privilege serving you this past year.

May God continue to bless you, your families and the entire Mercy family.
