IMPORTANT ADMISSIONS DATES:

Open House is an opportunity for families to tour Mercy High School, meet students and staff, and learn more about the curriculum. Tours generally last an hour and include short presentations made by Mercy's academic departments.  Visitors also enjoy the performances of cast members from the school plays, instrumental groups, Mercy Mimes, Mercyaires and athletic teams. Families interested in attending Mercy's Open House should enter through the Auditorium entrance of Middlebelt Road. The school is located on the northeast corner of Middlebelt and 11 Mile Roads.

*IMPORTANT NEWS ABOUT PURCHASING THE MERCY COMPUTING PACKAGE for Class of 2014 -The Mercy Computing Package will be available from the Inacomp online store in May 2010. The designated HP 2740p tablet is not scheduled to be manufactured until Spring 2010. This is a non-consumer, professional model. This series of tablets are the only units which the Mercy IT Department services and supports in parts. The 2700 series contains the Mercy image of programs, anti-malware and network settings for the Mercy computing environment. The Package contains the 2010-2011 requirements for such items as warranties, memory, wireless card standards, specific versions of MS Office and operating system of the complete, tested, supported Mercy Computing Package.

Eighth grade students interested in attending Mercy must take the High School Placement Test in November, December, February, or April. After these dates, transfer students and late eighth grade registrants may make individual application by contacting the Admissions Office at (248) 476-2484.

TESTING INFORMATION:

  • The High School Placement test, measuring proficiency in English, reading, vocabulary, math, problem solving and science, is administered to eighth grade students. Test results and school records determine acceptance to Mercy High School. No pre-registration is necessary.

  • There is a $26 fee for the November and December Placement Tests and a $27 fee for the February and March Placement Tests.  Payments via cash or checks payable to Mercy High School will be accepted.

  • Students coming to take the tests are requested to:Enter Mercy by doors nearest flagpole (11 Mile side of school).

  • Have two sharpened #2 pencils.

  • A snack will be provided during the break.

  • NO calculators allowed.
